The youngest of three children, Lisa grew up in northern Virginia, avidly participating in sports and trying to keep up with her older siblings. Throughout childhood she played soccer, basketball, lacrosse, tennis and ran cross country. From her involvement in sports and experience with personal injuries, she knew in high school she wanted to be a physical therapist. She has loved exploring all that Erie and the surrounding areas have to offer regarding activities for children, good restaurants, hiking trails, and going to the mountains to ski. Lisa is excited to become more involved in the Erie community and serve its patients.
Lisa's Career
Lisa has spent several years in private practice clinics, with focuses on orthopedic conditions, sports-related injuries, and pilates-based movement. She also worked in a community hospital for several years performing physical therapy in the acute care setting for those who were ill or just had surgery. She feels working in both settings have given her wide exposure to a variety of conditions as well as patient populations. She truly enjoys getting to know and connecting with her patients, and helping them get back to the active, functional life that they want to live. She is dry needling certified, and finds it to be very helpful to relieve muscle tension and improve movement patterns. She is also certified in running gait analysis, enjoying finding ways to make someone’s running pattern more efficient.
